Reshape the eye to a hunter or almond profile

Canthoplasty surgically detaches and repositions the lateral canthal tendon to alter the eye shape — tilting the outer corners down (for a softer look) or up (for the sought-after 'hunter eyes' or almond shape). Canthopexy is a less invasive tightening without full detachment, used for mild lower lid laxity. The shape of the eye aperture is one of the most significant determinants of perceived attractiveness and masculinity/femininity — hunter eyes (slightly downward-tilting outer corners with a low upper lid) are specifically associated with a dominant, attractive male phenotype. A genuinely difficult surgery with significant complication risk if done incorrectly, including ectropion (outward-turning lower lid). Surgeon experience in this specific procedure is paramount.
