Enforcing strict no-phone periods — at minimum, no screens for 60 minutes before sleep and no phone for the first 30 minutes after waking. Constant social media exposure elevates cortisol through social comparison stress, while nighttime blue light disrupts sleep. A structured digital detox reduces both pathways: cortisol drops, sleep deepens, and the downstream benefits appear on skin, in eyes, and across mood within 2–3 weeks.

No phone for 1 hour before bed. Fell asleep faster, woke up looking more rested. Didn't realize how much it was affecting me.

Anxiety dropped by half in a week. Skin looked calmer. Social media stress is a real physical thing.
