The tool that opens the eye before mascara

A mechanical or heated eyelash curler used before mascara to lift lashes from the root, opening the eye and making lashes appear significantly longer. Cold curlers work by clamping the lash at the root, mid-shaft, and tip in three positions; heated curlers use gentle warmth to set the curl like a hair waver. Both produce a dramatic difference in eye openness — particularly for those with straight or downward-growing lashes. Always curl before mascara application, never after, which breaks lashes. A heated curler holds the curl longer and is gentler on the lash. One of the most underused tools with one of the most visible results.
