Forehead Contouring

Reduce a large or wide forehead with shadow

Applying matte bronzer or contour powder along the hairline — sweeping across the entire top of the forehead and into the temples — to visually reduce forehead height and width. A large forehead can make the upper face appear dominant relative to the lower third; hairline shadowing brings it into proportion and makes the face appear more balanced. Blending well into the hairline is critical — a visible stripe of product at the hairline is the most common mistake. Often overlooked because most contouring tutorials focus on the mid and lower face, but forehead contouring has some of the highest impact on overall facial balance.

Nobody ever talked about forehead contour in tutorials but it made the biggest difference to my face proportion. The balance is completely different.

Blend into the hairline until you can't see where it starts. That's the only rule. Once mastered it reads as natural shadow.
